Join us September 26th as we welcome Nathan Manuel and David Billy. Nathan and David are long time artists/collaborators and now as co-founders of the design studio Dutchess & The Queen (based out of Brooklyn, NY).
+ Nathan Manuel (pictured) is an artist and educator living and working in Brooklyn, NY. His sculptures and collages combine personal narratives with references to modern painting. His academic exploration of art history is focused on making the utopian modernists relevant to our skeptical contemporary society. In addition to his individual practice, Nathan serves as head Doer-of-Stuff for Dutchess & the Queen, which he co-founded with David William. Nathan grew up in northeast Texas.
+ David William (a.k.a. D.Billy) is a Brooklyn-based artist and designer, whose whimsical work combines cartoonish objects, lettering, and symbols with rhythmic geometry and found images and language. In addition to his individual practice, David serves as chief Maker-of-Things for Dutchess & the Queen, which he co-founded with Nathan Manuel. David is a native of central New York state.
REGISTRATION OPENS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2017.
