Event Overview:

The STORY Event Series is pleased to announce a special program happening along side our next event the evening of Monday, September 18, 2017.

At 7:00 PM we'll bring together two of the top companies in the Washington, DC (and the nation) doing virtual reality (VR) for a demo suited for both those new to VR and those who have been exposed to VR and want to see/demo some of the latest innovations.

We're pleased to welcome the leader in the Washington, DC area Interface Media Group along with one of the top companies in the nation, NotionTheory, for a special demo.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

* Both events will be held at Interface Media Group in Washington, DC. When you arrive you will be given directions to event location.

* Tickets to this event are being sold in addition to tickets to the STORY event. You can register for one without registering for the other. Tickets for both the STORY event and the VR demo are $25.

* The VR demo event will take place from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. If you register for the VR demo and the STORY event, you are welcome to slip out of the STORY event (at selected times) and participate in the VR demo or you can wait until after the STORY event.

Kristian Bouw is a serial entrepreneur who founded the boutique creative product agency, NotionTheory. In addition to founding one of the premier software companies in the D.C. area, he is also a local mentor to budding entrepreneurs and early stage startups. Notably, he regularly hosts events to foster growth among local businesses and also strives to educate the community about the impact of new technology such as artificial intelligence, robotics and virtual reality. In two years of operating NotionTheory, he has become of one of the most creative influencers in the software space, particularly for virtual reality development and has created partnerships with the likes of fortune 500 companies and the U.S. government.

Ann Yoders is a creative marketing executive with over 15 years experience creating and executing marketing strategies for brands. Ann focuses part of her work on the concept, execution, and promotion of independent events focused on culture and the arts. Ann is in the process of researching her first book on work and values. 

About the Event Series

STORY is an event series focusing on themes related to story and the role of storytelling throughout various fields and disciplines. The series is designed to bring together a community of creatives from seemingly unrelated fields to collaborate and bring back fresh insights to their work. STORY launched in 2015 in Washington, DC.

STORY Event Series includes the dinner series 'Let There Be Cake' (on hold until 2018) and 'Five Things' (virtual series launching in September 2017). STORY also announced its first event outside Washington, DC. STORY will launch a series in Pittsburgh partnering with The Mattress Factory Museum. The first event will be held in November 2017 in conjunction with the museum's 40th-anniversary celebration.
